Sherri McAllister

Executive Director

Sherri has been the Executive Director for McMan Youth, Family and Community
Services Association in Central Region since April, 2002. Being part of the McMan
Central Region team since 1989, Sherri has held the positions of Program Supervisor and Program Manager of Residential and Family Programs. Prior to McMan, Sherri worked as a Youth Worker for Rockwood House Group Home in Central Alberta. Sherri is committed to quality excellence in Child Intervention and Community Programs. Over the years, Sherri, along with her colleagues, have expanded not only the number of staff employed but also the types of services available in response to communities and funders. Sherri and her husband currently reside outside of Innisfail on their 5th generation family farm.

Bruce Rafuse

Director of Operations

Bruce started with McMan Youth, Family & Community Services Association in July 2000. He has held different positions with McMan including Resource worker, Supervisor, Program Manager and Regional Manager for Family Services. Bruce has managed many of the different programs McMan offers and has always focused on Evidence based practices that are Family Centred in nature. In Bruce’s 25+ years in the field he has continued to learn, grow and develop his practice. Bruce has been focused on the Signs of Safety Framework in the past few years and recently completed the Professional Investigators course and is now licensed. Bruce is involved in his community with his family in sports and leisure activities.

Bart Haddow

Director of Business Development
Bart is the Director of Business Development for McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association in Central Alberta. Bart has been employed with McMan since 1989 in a variety of positions. He is a graduate of the Child/Youth Care Diploma Program at Grant MacEwan Community College as well as a trained Divorce and Conflict Mediator (Alberta legal Education Society of Alberta) and has a Private Investigation Certification (Bow Valley College). Bart’s professional passion is improving access and service to Alberta’s First Nation Communities

Sue Haddow

Quality Assurance Specialist

Sue has been the Quality Assurance Specialist for McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association in Central Region since 2011. She was initially hired as a Youth Worker for a McMan Group Home in 1989. She completed her BSW in 1992 and has since held positions as Family Development Worker, Foster Care Home Study Writer and Foster Care Recruiter. Sue also worked for 8 years as a Family School Wellness Worker for Chinooks Edge Regional School Division. As the Quality Assurance Specialist, Sue strives to ensure that all McMan Central Programs meet or exceed the standards set by accrediting bodies and funders. 

Jen Sutherland

Senior Practice Specialist

Jen began with McMan in 2004 after completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She began working in community programs in Rocky Mountain House until moving to the Olds office in 2007 where she has remained since. The Olds McMan office is where Jen first began working in child protection as a resource staff in the Family Development program. From there, she began supervising in 2008. Since 2010 Jen has been learning and growing in this field through her work in the OBSD program and her passion and use of Signs of Safety. Outside of this, Jen is a Mental Health First Aid for Youth Instructor since 2013 and in her free time she loves to camp and spend as much time as possible with her family.

Tammy Corsiatto

Senior Practice Specialist

Tammy Corsiatto joined McMan Youth, Family and Community Services in February 2017. She started as a Clinical Director with the foster care program and has moved into the position as Program Manager for Substance Abuse Services. Prior to working with McMan, Tammy lived in Calgary where she managed a wide variety of program with Hull Services. These programs included residential care, early intervention, and mental health outreach. Tammy has worked with youth and families for over 20 years and is dedicated to supporting those in need through program development and advocacy.

Dixie McLeod

Senior Practice Specialist

Dixie commenced employment with McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association in Central Region in 2004 after completing a Bachelor of Art in Sociology. Dixie worked as a Resource Staff in Family and Community programs while completing her Bachelors of Education. Dixie realized that although she thought her dreams were set on teaching; the ability that McMan Central programs had to build capacity and affect positive change in the lives of children, youth and families, struck a chord that she could not ignore. In 2008 Dixie filled the Program Supervisor position in Rocky Mountain House and then joined the Central Management Team as a Program Manager in 2010. Dixie has a passion for Education and Information Technology and is committed to enhancing systematic processes that result in best practice for the individuals that we serve. With a strong interest in public policy and governance Dixie has served as a School Board Trustee with Wild Rose School Division since 2010. Dixie spends much of her free time in the Rocky Mountains camping, fishing and enjoying the company of family and friends.

Heather Baich

Heather started with McMan Youth, Family & Community Services Association in 2002. She started her career as a Family Development Worker in Red Deer. Heather moved into a Leadership position in 2006 where she had the opportunity to work in many programs and sites throughout the central region. Heather relocated to Ponoka to build child protection and community services in that area, returning to Red Deer in 2019 to join the Quality Assurance team in supporting all McMan programs in exceeding standards for quality services and in 2023 filled the Senior Practice Specialist for Red Deer programs. In her 24 years with McMan Heather has continued to learn and has a passion for improving services to clients. In her free time enjoys camping, fishing, hiking and any time that she can spend with family and friends.

Terra Wamback

Business Specialist

Terra has been employed with McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association since October 1996. Terra was hired as a driver and an overnight resource worker for the McMan Group Home in Innisfail. Terra has a variety of educational achievements including certificates, diplomas and a Bachelor’s Degree. Terra’s strengths were recognized in the business administrative, finance and organizational areas – thus, leading her into an Administrative Assistant position with the McMan Olds Family Development Program and then the McMan Red Deer Family Development Program. Terra then progressed to an Office Manager for the Red Deer related programs of McMan Central Region. As McMan Central Region continued to grow and expand – Terra dedicated herself to many years in the new position of Finance Manager for McMan Central Region.

Terra resides in Innisfail and currently is a board member (treasurer) with the Innisfail Meals on Wheels and also, she volunteers her time with the Innisfail Christmas Bureau every November and December.
